Arctic Infrastructure (AI) is a private establishment with broad focus on infrastructure delivery, urban development and environment. It is a development organization engaging in the planning, engineering, procurement, construction and management of infrastructure and spaces.
In many developed economies, spending on infrastructure is predominantly directed at asset maintenance and repair, with few opportunities for brand-new installations. In developing economies, infrastructure to meet basic human needs for potable water, waste-water treatment, housing, mobility and electricity remains a challenge.
Responding to the gaps in providing new installations and maintaining existing infrastructure in different parts of the world, the founding fathers of AI conceptualized and institutionalized one-stop infrastructure delivery organization. The establishment of AI in April 2014 is the realization of a key objective of creating one-stop organization that will participate in the infrastructure delivery value chain; design, plan, procure, manage and maintain infrastructure with a view to increasing access and operational optimization.
